Most wedding parties order four to eight of the same model. Pick one pen, order one per groomsman, and give each its own engraving: his initials, his role, or the wedding date. There is no setup fee, so a party of six is simply six engraved pens, each laser-engraved to order in our Dresden workshop. For the best man, step the same design up to a boxed writing set: engrave the best man's boxed set and the groomsmen's single pens, and the group still reads as one. Engraving is made to order and engraved orders ship in 7 to 10 business days, with import duties prepaid to the US, so plan a little room before the wedding date. Not sure what to write? Our guide covers why these gifts get kept and what to engrave, and every model here also appears among our engraved pens. For more ideas, see engraved pen gifts.
What should I engrave for each groomsman?
Keep it short: each man's initials, a role such as "Best Man", or the wedding date. Up to 30 characters fit on the metal, and a few words reads more considered than a full sentence. Every pen gets its own text at the same price, with no setup fee.
Do all the groomsmen's pens have to match?
Most wedding parties pick one model and order four to eight of it, so the set matches on the table. The engraving is what makes each pen his: his own initials or role, engraved to order in our Dresden workshop.
How far in advance of the wedding should I order?
Order with a little room. Each pen is engraved to order in Dresden, and engraved orders ship in 7 to 10 business days with import duties prepaid to the US. The engraving is permanent, so confirm the spelling and the date in the live preview.
Will there be customs fees, and where is the engraving placed?
No fees: orders ship from Germany with import duties prepaid. The engraving goes on the metal element of the pen, never on leather, which keeps every mark crisp and permanent.
