Hörner began in 2016 around a single idea: make leather goods and pens that are worth keeping, and sell them directly, so the value lives in the object, not the markup.
Cut thick, built to last.
Every piece is cut from genuine cowhide at a minimum of 1.2 mm, and often more. That weight is deliberate: thicker leather keeps its structure, takes a burnished edge, and earns a real patina with the years. We hold our makers to that standard, and we choose them the way we choose materials, carefully and for the long term.
Saddle-stitched. German nibs.
Edges are burnished and seams saddle-stitched with waxed linen, so a single broken thread can never unravel a seam. Our pens are fitted with German JoWo nibs, the same standard trusted by writers worldwide.
Trusted where it counts.
We are a small, family-run German house that answers its own emails and stands behind every stitch. Over the years our work has found its way to public authorities and mid-sized family businesses who value quiet, durable quality, and into everyday pockets across the world.
