Privacy Policy

We collect as little as we can, never sell your data, and use it mainly to get your order to you.

Who we are

What we collect

Order information: name, shipping and billing address, email, phone number and the items you order.
Payment information: card payments are handled by our payment processor. We do not see or store your full card number.
Newsletter: your email address, only if you choose to subscribe.
Technical data: an essential cart cookie that remembers your basket, and standard server logs (including IP address) kept briefly for security and fraud prevention.

We do not currently run advertising or analytics trackers, and we do not build advertising profiles. If that ever changes, we will update this policy and ask for your consent first.

Why we use it

We use your information to process and ship your order, handle returns and customer service, send the newsletter you asked for, keep the store secure, and meet our legal and tax record-keeping duties. The legal bases are: performing your purchase contract, your consent (newsletter), our legitimate interest in a secure store, and compliance with law.

Who we share it with

We share data only with service providers that help us run the store, and only as needed:

Payment processing (e.g. Stripe) to take your payment.
Shipping & fulfillment (e.g. DHL, and our fulfillment partner) to pack and deliver your order.
Email / newsletter (CleverReach) to send messages you subscribed to.
Hosting & infrastructure to operate the website.

We may also disclose information where required by law. We do not sell or rent your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.

Cookies

We keep cookies to a minimum. We use one essential cart cookie so your basket survives page loads. Our fonts are self-hosted, so loading the site does not send your data to font CDNs. We do not set third-party advertising or analytics cookies. Because only strictly necessary cookies are used, no cookie banner is required today; if we add optional cookies later, we will add a consent banner with a real "reject all" option.

How long we keep it

We keep order, invoice and tax records for as long as US and German tax and commercial law require (generally up to 10 years). Newsletter data is kept until you unsubscribe. The cart cookie expires after about 30 days. We delete or anonymize data once it is no longer needed.

Your privacy rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or receive a copy of your personal information, and to opt out of its "sale" or "sharing".

California (CCPA/CPRA): you have the right to know, delete, and correct your information, and to opt out of sale or sharing. Hörner does not sell or share your personal information, so there is nothing to opt out of, but you may still contact us to exercise any right. We will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights.

Other US states (including Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, Texas and others): you have comparable rights, which you can exercise the same way.

To make a request, email info@hoerner-group.de with "Privacy request" in the subject. We may need to verify your identity before acting. You can also authorize an agent to act for you.

Do Not Track: because we do not track you across sites, we treat all visitors the same regardless of any "Do Not Track" browser signal.

Children

This store is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13. If you believe a child has given us information, contact us and we will delete it.

Where your data is processed

We are based in Germany, so your information is processed in the European Union as well as by US-based service providers (such as your payment processor). We use providers that apply appropriate safeguards for this processing.

Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, but we work to keep your data safe and to limit access to those who need it.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the store evolves (for example, when we enable live card payment or add new services). We will post the new version here with an updated date.
